About Us

Based in the centre of Altrincham, the Hub is a community centre for everyone...

it’s your community, your place

The Hub is a partnership between Trafford Council and Altrincham Baptist Church, providing a community space for Trafford residents. We hope you find it a welcoming place to relax; a place to be empowered, listened to and valued. A place to connect with others and make friendships as well as a place to learn, to be supported, and 'to be part of something.'

RED HAND HEART tim-marshall-unWe are very close to being 'back to normal' after the pandemic closures, which saw a very strange and alarmingly quiet Hub!  Toddler group is now back in full swing, English class has returned to provide some support and confidence boosting, and exercise classes, seniors groups, after school activities and training groups are all back to it. Over the coming months we also hope to see several new community support groups and activities find their feet, alongside the Community Response Hub that continues to support those affected by the pandemic and those isolating due to Covid. And to much excitement our cafe has finally reopened, filling the Hub with that gorgeously yummy, homemade bake smell again.

The backbone of the Hub is the wonderful community of volunteers, who provide so much of their time, skills and energy to support our activities. Without them, very little would be achievable! If you are interested or would like to know more about the various volunteering opportunities at the Hub, have a quick look at our volunteering page here.

Response Hub CircularThe Altrincham Community Hub, which grew out of a response to the pandemic emergency, is continuing to support those in the community who are struggling.   For more information on the Altrincham Community Response Hub please click here.
